Here is where everything starts

Peek a Loop is more for me than just a product made from a technique called ‘Crochet’.

If you have read the story About Us you know that I started this project as a connection with my feminine ancestors, but Peek a Loop is something bigger for me. When I started crocheting I was in a journey to heal so many aspects of my life, one of them, the most important I believe, was my healing process of my 10 years of depression.

I passed through some types of therapy. For so many years I went to different psychologists and psychiatrists, I tried with medication and the one that clicked with me was a therapy called ‘Biodecoding’. Biological decoding is a technique that uses a direct emotional approach to find the root of an illness. One thing I learned from it is that I needed to heal my inner child.

Inner Child… I know, it’s something kind of weird to process for some. It did take me some time to interiorized it too, but the most important concept of it is that we all have a child inside us. This part of us is what knows what really makes us happy, which at the end is what will help us figure out what’s our purpose in this life.

My way to connect with my inner child was to have a plushie with me, a reminder of those days when I was genuinely happy. But also, a plushie was always a friend that I can hug in the scary moments of growing up. That’s when the purpose for Peek a Loop came to me. Create a plushie handmade with so much love and care that can help others to connect with their inner child again, help them be happy again and remind them to always be loyal to their dreams.

I will start with this blog on a regular basis to connect in a deeper way to my customers, or even just to people who want to read my thoughts. Because I believe when you share your story you help so many others that are living the same as you and this way they don’t feel so lonely. All I want is to give others hope.
